Hello again, Friends!

It has been a while since I have written to you and I have missed writing my weekly blogs and connecting with you in this way. I am excited to say that after some healing of my own, and beginning new work in the community, I have begun writing again. I hope you will follow along, letting me know how these new entries impact you and your work in the community.

Over the last few months I have made some big changes.  Actually, transformations.

Change is inevitable, but transformation is a choice!

My transformation has led me into private practice and to prison chaplaincy at the Western Correctional Center for Women. There I serve as a community funded chaplain through the Ministry of Hope WNC.  For me this transformation is exciting and a bit scary. As my daughter says,  I am “nervcited”.  I plan on sharing more about these changes  in the next few weeks as I write about my new passion to understand the healing of moral injury within community, how working in a prison is impacting my faith, and about my offerings of education, groups and individual therapy services.

Last week I was featured on a podcast called “Friends Talking Nerdy” entitled “The Invisible Wound You Did Not Know Had A Name”. Check that out if you want to listen to three nerds discussing Moral Injury and how we can heal in community… oh,  and hear me nerd out on Spider-Man.

And, thank you for your patience and support  in this beautiful-broken world. The world needs healed people to work together for the common good.

Peace,

Chaplain Morrow 🙂
